Both of my siblings graduated from OHS and I lived in town for a few years before my husband, Brad, and I bought a house in Ortonville – but my heart is still in Oxford. My mission is to be the person who connected needs to those of have the resources to help. In between coordinating volunteers and donations, I'm a mom of 2, and studying Computer Science at OU.
I've lived in Lake Orion most of my life. And it's always been Orion-Oxford. From playing OOSL as a kid to now, I've had friends, family, and some of my favorite businesses in Oxford. As a storyteller, I want to help our community write this next chapter – of love, healing, and solidarity. When not updating the website, I work for a market research consulting firm.
I am an OHS Alumni and attended all Oxford schools. I was on the OMS dance team in middle school and also in the Oxford Dance Conservatory in in high school. My husband, Zak Schwerin, also graduated from OHS and did football, wrestling, baseball, and band. We both graduated in 2018. The entire Oxford community is close to my heart. My goal is to help my hometown heal and support the affected students and staff on this journey of recovery.
I'm a proud parent of 2 Oxford alumni. I had a 17-year career as a teacher and administrator, and am now a leader in IT and UWM in Pontiac, as well as a Life Coach. I believe in my community and am dedicated to serving. I love Oxford and felt called to be a conduit for healing for all impacted by the tragedy of Nov. 30th.
